Inspiration

Jason was inspired to write Carl is a Car by his late father. His fondest memory of him was when they went to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game together. His goal is simply to write stories that will be fun for kids. He believes that kids learn best when they are playing and having fun.

He wondered what it’d be like, this new home he’d have now as they passed by buildings and corn, and sometimes a cow. All he knew was that he was excited and scared, of this new place, this new life. Would he be prepared?

As he approached the big city, all the lights were twinkling and bright. The buildings were tall and they covered the night. The roads are long and winding as he gets closer to the city. All sorts of cars are rushing by, from great big to itty bitty.

He’s frightened, though excited at this journey he is on. All the cars, so many cars, are pushing to be gone. Carl is trying desperately to get to where he is going, and a destination helps him in knowing.
