We wanted to get an idea of where the story is going after Carl is a Car.
Getting a view of the city and the different cars that live there was the best plan moving forward.
Giving the reader a fun place to get to know all the cars and to see how they play together is exciting.

There goes Maureen
She’s the black limousine
Long and stylish, shiny and clean
She always likes to be seen
All the cars have somewhere to go
Even the ones that Carl doesn’t know
Like the taxis that drive all around
They all have their place in Carl’s town

The house was getting closer
As we stepped onto the porch
I then clicked on my flashlight
Like the lighting of a torch
The door was looming overhead
It appeared to be ajar
We almost turned to run away
But we’d already come this far
Our bravery was shaken
As the door slammed shut behind
The nerve we had, then taken
Leaving none left we could find
We stood there frozen in our tracks
Too scared to turn around
A chill ran straight down our backs
As we were startled by a sound
A rat ran by us in the dark
I followed it with my light
It stared at us with red eyes
And I jumped again with fright
My brother grabbed my arm
And led me down the hall
We walked past the stair case
That stood there dark and tall
The faces in the pictures
Of family long since gone
Stared down at us defiantly
And being here seemed wrong
No one had lived here for many years
But we could still feel something near
As though the people that had left
Were taking joy in our great fear
We walked into the dining room
Where the family used to eat
Afraid that we would see a ghost
Not just a person in a sheet
A cat jumped on the table
And startled us again
Black as night, it looked at us
We almost turned and ran
It darted quick into another room
And we followed it to see
Maybe it would catch the rat
Before it could get to me
Carl is great fun to make, and we can't wait to finish the series. However, we here at Aether Publishing really enjoy the Haunted Realm. Moving forward after Carl, we feel that there is so much for us to offer everyone. Especially if it's kinda scary.
